We loved working with Heads Up Penny! Through the planning process, Rushton was responsive, friendly, and accommodating to our various requests and desires. The night of the event, he helped us sort out some last minute first dance questions, played his part as emcee, and the band overall crushed it as far as the main reception was concerned. We've received nothing but rave reviews from guests!

Awesome band! I mean really really good. They played my son's wedding last night at Wrightsville Manor and they kept every guest on the dance floor for hours. They played different genre's and speed. They created a lot of positive energy.

When I tell you my wedding guests are STILL talking about how amazing this band was, I'm not kidding!! We got married in September and I can still remember the energy and fun they brought the entire night. The dance started packed, and stayed packed all night! They even nailed singing a cover of our first dance song. Highly recommend!

Yes. We're based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and travel for events. Share your date and venue so we can confirm availability and account for travel in your quote.
Can you play our first dance?
Yes. Every HUP booking includes one client-selected song outside our current repertoire. We'll work through your selection and the details with you during planning.
What about ceremony and cocktail-hour music?
Ceremony and cocktail-hour music can be part of your event. Tell us which portions you'd like covered; your proposal and booking agreement will confirm the performances and services included.
